What a weekend. Things started out great with dinner Friday with the dad, Jeri, Kristin, Kyle, Jorie, Greg, and Mackenzey for dad's birthday. Lucky's is such a great place to eat. Saturday we spent the day with the Rodriguez side of the family. Marty's dad grilled some great steaks for everyone. Marty got to spend some quality time with his grandpa, dad, sister Amy, and three of the nieces (Breanna, Kelsey, and Amya). Sunday started out normal with church where father Tim did a very nice blessing over us for our family and the move. Marty had a chance to say goodbye to a few of his extended family members also. After church Marty and I went home and spent the day together. We did a lot of packing and just spent some great quality time with each other. We had our favorite pizza and watched "I Love You Man". That is such a great movie. Sunday night into Monday morning was very difficult for both of us. Speaking for myself (this is Megan) saying goodbye and seeing Marty drive off was the hardest thing I have had to do. We are both moving foward though and looking forward to seeing each other in 10 days.
Marty made the drive in about 12 hours without too many problems. Traffic got a little busy at one point and it was raining pretty hard when he arrived in Williamsburg, but other than that he said the drive was good and beautiful. Today (Monday) is his first day at the new job so I am excited to hear all about. I will post something tomorrow about how it all went. Thank you to everyone for your support for both of us during this time. We both really appreciate it. Have a good night.

I'm glad to hear that Marty made it to Williamsburg safely! I'm sure you miss each other terribly, but the times of separation will pass quickly, as will the time you have left in the mitten state! I hope you do as much as you can to enjoy your last couple of months here!! :)
ReplyDeleteI've never seen that movie... I don't know if I've ever even heard of it... I'll have to look for it.
